About Bog Garden Homestead
Nestled on the coast of Maine, our homestead is a sanctuary where tradition meets sustainability. For the past four years, we’ve transformed our generational family home into a thriving oasis of self-sufficiency and natural beauty. Here, we grow our own food, raise happy chickens, ducks, and rabbits and embrace the rhythms of each season. One of the best things about homesteading, is that we are always learning new skills and ways to be self-sufficient and independent.
Join us on this journey of homesteading, where every day is an adventure in self-reliance and community. We can’t wait to share our stories, tips, and a warm cup of herbal tea with you!
We welcome you to share your experiences or curiosity about gardening, homesteading, sustainable living, or seasonal splendor.
About Me
Hi, I’m Kay! As a wife, mother, homeschool teacher, full-time employee, and passionate homesteader, I wear many hats. My drive to ensure my family has access to independent and healthy food options fuels my commitment to the homestead lifestyle. Balancing these roles is challenging but incredibly rewarding, and I’m excited to share my journey with you. God gives me the strength to carry on; to him be the glory for all that is given and for the blessings that flow.
